Project: Marked By Stars

Project: Marked by Stars is my writing obsession around two major stories. The first is The Sword Saint, the other is Stories From Ashen. The two stories are undoubtedly connected in many ways, shapes, and forms.

As always, don't expect edited drafts. Often times I'll make it, do a quick run-through, and not even edit fully. That's for the publishers in the year 20X9

The Sword Saint

This story follows Elohim Essaim, the strongest born child of the strongest clan in Von. Marked by his clan's platinum hair and Armory, he can freely control weapons and access them from his family storehouse. His main adversary are the Dragons of Von, powerful creatures who are led by their sire, the Dragon King. His great grandmother had stopped their advance many, many years ago, but due to his mistakes, they are once again conquering the land to their nefarious end.

It is Elohim's duty and his birthright. Join him on his adventure to rid the land of their tyranny.

Stories from Ashen

This story is a little more... eclectic. My original concept was a collection of slice of life stories in the city-state of Ashen, the strongest city in Von. Through different viewpoints, the character of the city would be revealed to be something that I thought was quite profound or perhaps something I admired in my youth to only be disillusioned with now. In later character PoVs you would see earlier characters do something not related to the current task as a sort of "Oh, their story is still continuing," since life happens to everyone whether we see their PoV or not, whether they were important to the current story or not.

In either case, while I was enamored with the idea, I really wanted there to be some sort of Myth Arc where it all comes to a head in the final story. In that regard, there is a central character, who will show up quite often.

Find out what happens to the young Jude Kirisame and the city he lives in. For some reason, I just can't get rid of him.

The Witch War

A story with the framing device being a father telling his daughter a story.
